About Samantha
I am a NYC based dancer and teacher. After graduating from Hofstra University with a BA in Dance, I went on to acquire a Masters of Public Health from NYU and currently use my knowledge of dance and somatics to help individuals and companies manage stress. I am committed to exploring themes such as equity, health and unity through dance. As a first generation American I am always moving from a place of honor and homage to my Caribbean heritage. I have performed at Jamaica Performing Arts Center, the Ailey Citygroup Theater, New York City Center, and the 42nd Battery Park Festival. I am a current professional dancer and company member with the Lori Belilove and Isadora Duncan Dance Company.

As a tutor, my approach is centered on nature, art, beauty, emotions and safety. My lessons focus on generating authentic movement that serves as the fullest expression of self.
My teaching method uses a mix of classic modern technique, somatic and imagery to make classes engaging and help bring a sense of peace and wellbeing.
In a typical lesson plan for children's classes are framed after creative movement and are built to be accessible and scalable. For adult classes, I offer personalized sessions and based on client interest.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my focus on the mind-body connection and its impact on chronic pain, stress management and engagement. I can provide specific sessions and programs designed to help individuals overcome stress, burnout, and disconnection and embrace vitality, resilience, and authentic self-expression.
I work with everyone, from children, to corporate professionals seeking work-life balance, to individuals seeking to manage chronic diseases and pain.
