About Joanna
I have over 10 years of experience teaching English, with both adults and children. I help beginners and advanced students, from any background. I also have specific experience working with children and adults speaking Russian and Romanian.
I am a doctor, working in the NHS, with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a UK Medical degree. I have worked in business for over 8 years, working in Chief Executive roles in both the UK and USA. I have lived, worked, and travelled, to the USA, Russia, and countries across Africa and Europe.
So whether you are at school, at university, or you’re a professional - perhaps working in business, I can help you build your confidence for meetings, prepare for interviews, improve your presenting skills, and make any edits or give any feedback to your materials.
Learning a new language is difficult and it is even harder to master and perfect pronunciation. I am here to support you and help you achieve your goals. Hello, I’m Joanna. I’m from the United Kingdom. I’m a British native-speaker, raised and educated in London. I’m very passionate about helping people to improve their English. I want you to speak English fluently, like a native speaker. Our lessons are held in English and my teaching approach is conversational. The lessons are friendly and fun, and the teaching style is very adaptive to you and your needs, focusing on whatever you want to learn. I determine your strengths and weaknesses and I go at your pace. I correct any errors in vocabulary, grammar or pronunciation, as we go or at the end of the lesson, however you prefer.
