About Jonathan

Hi, I'm Jonathan and I teach practical English through conversational lessons. That's right! People pay me to talk to me and I'm not even famous. Crazy! Maybe it's because we don't talk about me, we talk about them and the things they like, so they can feel confident about speaking in English. Confidence is EVERYTHING and I like helping people get some.

I was born and raised in Brazil, and moved to Europe about a decade ago. I lived in a few different countries, met all sorts of amazing people, and now home is good ol' England. London, as a matter of fact, land of the red buses and overconfident park squirrels (they're always trying to steal my food).

About the lesson

Do you want to talk about your favourite TV Show with some friends in English but can never follow the conversation? I got you!
We'll discuss the latest episode, what was good, what was bad, how does it compare with other similar TV Shows and find out exactly what words will help you express yourself better, so you can go back to them with confidence and nail that conversation.

Do you want to try that new Tasty recipe but don't know all those ingredients in English or what those baking terms mean? Don't worry about it!
We'll go over the recipe, maybe some baking videos, and master culinary English. You'll never get "whisk" and "whiskers" mixed up again. (Your cat will thank you.)

Those are just a couple of examples from conversational English classes I have had with students. Sometimes we talk about art, manga, books, or we exchange travel stories, or even talk about how life in England is and I give them some practical tips. In any case, English can be tough, but it can also be fun and you don't need to waste time learning about things you will never use if you don't want to. We can just talk and learn about things that you are actually going to be using this week.
