About Monica
I am a native Italian speaker born in Switzerland; my parents are from Calabria, Italy. I grew up in Brooklyn, NY until I graduated HS and then moved to Long Island, NY. Having a prior knowledge of the Italian language is what drew me to teaching. I have taught various levels and students from middle school to HS, as well as adult classes. There is nothing more exciting than learning another language. Not only does it make you marketable in the job market by knowing another language but you get to experience a whole new culture and way of life.

Italian
All levels include a themed lesson that will include grammar points with vocabulary. Various types of practice exercises such as matching, fill-in, writing, and reading. Lessons at various levels will include greetings and expressions of courtesy as well as day to day real life scenarios like family, shopping, getting around town and more. The difference levels will incorporate additional vocabulary and grammar points to enhance mastery of the language.
