About Amy
My goal is to teach writing in a way that allows students to write, edit and improve their writing on their own. I created the workshops to accomplish this. Since 2004, I have taught thousands of students to look at writing in a completely different way and have had measurable success, illustrated most clearly by the fact that students do not need to return for more help. Notably, many students who took the course in high school were able to raise their PSAT scores, thus qualifying them as National Merit Semi-Finalists or Commended Scholars.

I am a veteran English teacher and tutor with more than 40 years of experience. The content of this workshop is a unique view of words and writing not taught anywhere else. Its purpose is to simplify a complicated subject and to give students a "handle" they can use to effectively edit and improve their own writing. The complete course requires only 10 hours, divided into smaller segments to accommodate student schedules. It is dynamic and interactive. It works especially well with groups of 3 to 6 students.

The dynamic and interactive aspect of the course make it especially suited to groups of up to six students. A discounted rate of 20% off per student will be offered to students if they register as a group of no fewer than three students and no more than six.
