About Roshan

I am an experienced Flute tutor with 5 years of teaching experience. I teach High School students, College students, and adults who want to learn flute for personal interest, academic goals, or stage performances. So far, I have trained around 300 students with positive learning outcomes. My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clear explanation, and steady progress. I believe that strong basics are the foundation of good flute playing. I take time to ensure students understand each concept properly before moving forward. In my lessons, I teach correct breathing methods, finger coordination, sound production, rhythm training, scale practice, and music reading. I also introduce basic music theory so students understand the structure behind the music they play. As they improve, I focus on musical expression, dynamics, and confidence building. Many of my students have grown from beginners to confident performers. They now take part in school and college stage programmes and competitions. Some have also passed music exams with good results. I always maintain a calm and friendly learning environment. My aim is to make flute learning simple, enjoyable, and meaningful, while helping students reach their personal music goals.

About the lesson

My flute teaching approach follows Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I design each lesson based on the student’s learning ability and goals. Motivation helps students stay confident and positive. I encourage them through regular feedback and appreciation. Communication helps students clearly understand techniques like breathing, finger placement, rhythm, articulation, and sound control. Integrity means proper training with honesty and discipline. I focus on building strong foundations through structured practice. Creativity adds expression and enjoyment. I introduce musical variation, listening skills, and performance training. I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight reading along with flute.
