About Dmitri
I am a dedicated Guitar tutor with more than 8 years of experience teaching college students. I focus on helping students learn guitar in a practical, enjoyable, and motivating way.
My teaching style is interactive and encouraging. I listen carefully to students’ goals and challenges and design lessons that match their needs. I focus on steady progress and building confidence.
I use innovative methods such as real-song learning, rhythm training, and guided practice routines. Students learn chord progressions, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, and timing step by step. I also include creative exercises to improve musical expression.
Music theory is explained in a simple and useful way and applied directly on the guitar. I also encourage improvisation and ear training to build creativity.
I aim to create a positive learning environment where college students feel motivated to practise and improve. My goal is to help students enjoy guitar learning and grow as confident players.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I want students to develop technical skill and musical understanding while enjoying the learning process. Lessons include improvisation, composition, and exploring different genres to encourage personal expression.
Critical thinking is emphasised in every lesson. I teach students to analyse songs, understand scales and chord structures, and make informed musical decisions, fostering independence and confidence.
I also emphasise accountability. I guide students to set achievable goals, practise consistently, and track progress. Constructive feedback and encouragement ensure motivation and growth.
In addition to Guitar, I teach music theory, songwriting, ear training, and performance preparation. Lessons are tailored to the student’s pace, level, and musical interests, creating a fun and effective learning environment.
My aim is to mentor students into confident, creative, and self-reliant musicians who can play, compose, and enjoy music for life.
