About Thea
My interest in piano began through fascination with harmony, melody, and live musical performance. This passion inspired me to complete a Master’s Degree in Keyboard Arts and Music Pedagogy, where I studied piano performance, composition, and teaching methods in depth. During the past 9 years, I have worked with students from different backgrounds, helping them build confidence and musical understanding.
I believe every student learns differently, so I carefully adapt lessons according to individual strengths and learning styles. My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, motivation, and practical understanding rather than pressure or rigid instruction. Some learners improve through repetition and structure, while others gain confidence through creative exploration and performance opportunities. I aim to make lessons engaging, productive, and enjoyable.
Outside teaching, I continue exploring classical compositions, contemporary piano arrangements, and music education resources to keep my lessons inspiring and relevant. Staying connected to music allows me to bring creativity and fresh ideas into every session. My goal is to help students become confident pianists who enjoy expressing themselves through music while developing lifelong musical appreciation.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop musical confidence through practical exercises, structured learning, and creative exploration. I teach scales, rhythm control, note reading, hand coordination, chord progressions, improvisation basics, and expressive playing techniques using clear and encouraging instruction. Lessons focus on helping students understand music naturally rather than memorizing notes without meaning. I create a supportive learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable practicing and improving step by step.
Each lesson is adapted according to the learner’s skill level, musical interests, and personal goals. Beginners receive patient guidance with posture, keyboard familiarity, and rhythm exercises, while advanced learners work on musical interpretation, technical precision, and expressive performance. I include listening practice, technical studies, sight-reading activities, and performance preparation to support balanced musical growth. Students preparing for recitals receive focused support for stage confidence and musical expression.
I believe piano learning becomes more rewarding when students connect emotionally with music and build confidence gradually. My lessons help students replace fear and hesitation with consistency and creativity through supportive guidance. Many learners become more independent and expressive musicians over time. My goal is to help students enjoy the process of learning while building strong piano skills.
