About Andrea

I have a B.A. in Creative Writing and English and am a certified writing tutor with experience assisting with academic writing. I am a passionate reader and writer and want to help others make their writing as strong as it can be.

About the lesson

I can help with all stages of the writing process, depending on what students want to work on. I can help brainstorm, draft, and read over the work to make sure it is meeting the requirements and adequately expressing the student's ideas. However, while I can provide students with the tools to improve their writing and go over it with them, I do not proofread the work. I have experience assisting university students, mostly in the lower years, but I also enjoy working with high school students.

Andrea's response
Hi Bogdan,
It was really great working with you. Just to recap some of the things we worked on last week, you have a strong grasp of how to compile research and present it in your paper (though I still recommend you go over MLA citation formatting as you prepare your Works Cited). What you need to work on a bit more is what you have to say in regards to the research you've done. Remember academic writing is a way of entering into a conversation with others on a particular topic, and you should always respond to what they're saying with what you have to say. It takes time and practice to excel at that, and it can be intimidating at first, but it does get easier as you go on.
I hope you have a great summer, and I hope to see you again when you return.
Cheers,
Andrea

Andrea is an excellent English tutor. She is an amazing and very trustworthy person in the sense that she pays a full attention when she proofreads something. Andrea is highly skilled and professional, but quite flexible tutor. She always gives her best efforts to improve the quality of a paper or task. When she reads a paper, she employs holistic approaches to develop the paper. Therefore, I absolutely recommend Andrea a tutor in English-language.
