About Sevval

I'm a Criminal Justice student at MassBay Community College. I am a state-certified foreign language assistant for English and French. After my training, I went to France and did an internship abroad to improve my French. After completing my training, I was recognized for my technical diploma because I also did my technical diploma in parallel with my training. So that I could deepen and improve my French skills, I also attended the Alliance francaise language school.
At the moment I speak French in a conversational way (B1).

Since I wanted to study in English and have a better command of the language, I went to the USA and lived there as an au pair for about three years. During the au pair period I attended the ASC English School in Boston for several months and so I not only improved my verbal understanding of the English language, but also in writing. I currently speak English at level C2 and I also enjoy learning and teaching languages.

Even as an au pair, I was able to gain my first experience in the field of tutoring, as I looked after my host children with their homework. I supported her educationally in order to improve her grades. I am currently working for various tutoring institutions as a tutor for math, German, English and French.

I've had tutoring all my life because my parents couldn't really help me, and I haven't always loved learning. However, I noticed one thing; the more I opened up and wanted it for myself, instead of for the work / exam or the subject itself, it became easier and easier for me to break away from the resistance and the blockages in me, so that not only was learning fun, but also back to school. In addition to helping you achieve your academic goals, I want to help you become the best version of who you are. So let's start the adventure together.

About the lesson

I let the student explain to me what he already knows about the subject or topic, so that I become aware of which gaps I can and must fill.
While the student is talking, I listen carefully because I attach importance to it that everyone gets what they want. By listening and asking questions, we get to know each other better. It is very important to me that the student feels comfortable while learning, because only through trust can you grow and get closer to your goals. After the explanation and listening, experience has shown that I explain using examples, because this is the best and fastest way for our brain to learn. I look forward to you and learning together.
