About Julia
With my theater company I've developed several experimental performances that have debuted off-Broadway and internationally. We have two New York Times Critics' Picks and were a finalist for the Drama Desk Award. I've also been published a few times as a poet. Most importantly, I'm passionate about helping others develop their work. I firmly believe that everyone is inherently creative and has something to say that needs to be heard. I love working with people who are trying something entirely new and finding their voice for the first time. If you are already working on something, I am a keen editor, and can help you push your project over the finish line.

I’m here to support you whatever your journey may be. I certainly have knowledge to impart, but mostly, these sessions will be about cultivating your voice and flexing your creative muscles. If you have a more specific goal in mind, such as editing a manuscript or play - fantastic! We can do that too. It is entirely tailored to you. The idea is structure with flexibility. Skyscrapers are built to bend in the wind - if they’re too rigid, they collapse.
