About Jade
I am a British artist, curator, and creative producer of Afro-Caribbean heritage based in Nottingham, and from Sandwell in the West Midlands. I hold the position of Trustee / Board Member of Nottingham Contemporary and I was a 2021 CCCADI Curatorial Fellow in Afro-Caribbean Art (New York). I have previously given lectures and tutorials for students at the University of Northampton and Sheffield Hallam University. As a writer, I have written texts for international publications.
Throughout my career, I have worked with organisations such as Cavendish Arts Science (University of Cambridge); Derby QUAD; FORMAT International Photography Festival; New Art Exchange; Forth (formerly Four/Four); Primary; UK New Artists (formerly UKYA); Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) Glasgow; Glasgow International; and Two Queens.
As a Black, queer, and non-binary person, I care about intersectional perspectives and marginalised voices.

I will help you discover your creativity and writer's voice. Trips to galleries, practicing, analysing past work to develop your confidence and critical thinking. I have a laid-back, fun, and easygoing approach to tutoring. I can adapt my style to suit different learners and access needs. Lessons are typically 1-2 hours, ages 16+. Enhanced DBS cert. Experienced tutor and I have delivered guest lectures at universities, and informal workshops with different communities.
