I am an Applied Mathematics undergraduate at the University of New Mexico with minors in Computer Science and Business Management, and I am dedicated to helping students succeed in mathematics with confidence and clarity. My approach as a tutor focuses on helping students build confidence while developing a strong understanding of mathematical concepts rather than memorizing steps. I use patient, clear, step-by-step explanations and adjust my teaching style to match each student’s learning needs. I typically begin by reviewing problem areas, then guide students through examples and practice problems while encouraging them to explain their thinking and work independently with support. What sets me apart is my combination of strong mathematical knowledge and an encouraging, approachable teaching style as an Applied Mathematics student with backgrounds in Computer Science and Business. I primarily tutor students from elementary through high school levels, especially those working on foundational topics such as arithmetic, pre-algebra, algebra, and early advanced math.
