About Corban

Hi! I'm Corban and I am a sophomore attending University of Washington Seattle in the fall (Studying mechanical engineering). Beginning in elementary school around age 10, I fell in love with the hobby of origami. Since then, I have continued to fold models ranging from simple animals which take 20 minutes to super complex insects that take hours. I have experience as a math tutor at my high school as well as coaching at children's sports camps. Origami is a wonderful hobby which does not require anything but a single square sheet of paper. It develops mechanical skills, problem solving skills, and patience. I want to share the hobby of origami with you, so you can learn to enjoy it as I do.

About the lesson

- I will seek to focus on the basics of origami as well as how to fold multiple simple, traditional models
- We will begin by learning the basic folds needed for essentially all origami models
- Then we will begin learning how to make traditional models including the crane, waterbomb, and more.
- Lessons are open to any beginner, though children aged at least around 9 years old tend to be better, as younger children may struggle with the mechanical precision necessary for origami
