About James
I completed my bachelor of creative writing in 2020, and I am now in my final year of my masters of teaching. I have a strong passion for English, literature, and teaching.
In 2021 I completed my first practical experience at Perth Modern school, where I was able to teach English for 8 weeks in two blocks throughout the year. This year I will be completing my final practical experience as well as a bonus internship at another school in Perth.

Lessons are personalised to each students individual needs in their current schooling, with an emphasis on core skills of literacy, reading, and writing.
Each season will go for roughly 40 minutes, addressing areas of concern that the student has, and using worked examples of texts and assessment to improve English skills.
I have experience with neurodivergent needs, such as those with ADHD, ADD, and autism. As well as experience teaching those currently struggling with mental health issues that have interfered with class learning.
