About Robert

I was born in England and spent the first 40 years of my life there before migrating to New Zealand, where I lived for 8 years. After that, I moved to Australia, which is where I currently reside.

I have always enjoyed using my skills to enhance the abilities of others. It’s something I discovered I was particularly good at midway through my life, and I’ve since made it a core part of what I do.

Throughout my career, I have owned two innovative businesses and worked across a variety of industries, including, amnufacturing, sales, hospitals and the disability sector. One of my proudest achievements was creating a course for a large organisation aimed at teaching disabled students how to use computers. I not only wrote the course but also delivered it for six years.

Creativity and innovation are at the heart of everything I do. I thrive in environments where "outside-the-box" thinking is encouraged, and I love surrounding myself with like-minded individuals who share a passion for breaking boundaries and exploring new ideas.

In my personal life, I have a deep love for classical music and film scores, with film being a particular passion of mine. It’s one of the areas I’ve always wished I’d pursued further in my younger years, though, unfortunately, conventional work commitments got in the way!

I also have a wide range of interests, from travelling and cooking to exploring mysteries, applying ideas, and home DIY. I write fiction in my spare time (I’ve already written two books, with more on the way), and I’m fascinated by sciences and anomalies that spark questions about the what, why, where, and how of the world.

At my core, I’m a creative person, and I embrace that title with open arms. I’m always eager to seize new initiatives and opportunities, and I find joy in the endless potential for discovery and innovation.

About the lesson

As an English-born tutor, (now living in Australia,) with years of experience, my lessons are tailored to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. I focus on creating a personalized, engaging learning experience that covers all facets of the English language—reading, writing, vocabulary, grammar, and effective communication. My approach is designed to improve not only understanding but also the ability to use the language confidently and creatively.

Teaching Methodology:

I believe in a student-centered approach, which means that I adapt my lessons to the interests, hobbies, and professional backgrounds of my students. Whether you are learning English for work, travel, or personal development, I incorporate your specific needs and preferences into our sessions. By applying real-life scenarios and topics that matter to you, I aim to keep lessons engaging and practical.

My methodology includes:

-Interactive learning with a focus on real-world applications.
-Comprehensive vocabulary expansion with contextual explanations.
-Grammar mastery through hands-on practice and examples.
-Reading and writing skills to help you express yourself clearly and effectively.
-Pronunciation and fluency with tips to sound more natural and confident.
-Creative ways to describe and explain ideas, encouraging you to express thoughts in varied ways.
-Explaining English words and terminology by breaking these elements down to their raw state, so students can communicate fluently

Lesson Length:

Each lesson is based on the students preference, allowing for in-depth exploration of topics while maintaining focus and engagement. I offer flexibility for those who prefer shorter or longer sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

I am an experienced tutor with a strong background in teaching English as a second language (ESL), and I have worked with students from all over the world. My qualifications include [insert relevant certifications or degrees], and I continuously refine my skills to stay up to date with the latest teaching methods and tools.

Who Are My Lessons For:

My lessons are suitable for learners of all levels—from beginners to advanced students—and are ideal for both adults and young learners. Whether you're preparing for exams, enhancing your professional language skills, looking for very creative input and innovative subject matter interests using the English language, or simply improving your everyday English, I can tailor the lessons to your level and needs.

I believe in building confidence through understanding, and I strive to make learning enjoyable, relevant, and effective. My lessons are more than just about grammar and vocabulary; they’re about helping you become a fluent, confident communicator in English.
