About Lucus
I’m someone who genuinely loves teaching and sharing the excitement of language. With a background in linguistics, Ancient Greek, Mandarin (the language in which I am native), and more other languages, I’ve always been fascinated by how languages are structured and why they change. What motivates me most is helping others discover that same clarity and enjoyment—whether they’re tackling a tricky concept or exploring a new language, a process in which I take my pride.

My approach to tutoring stems from sparking students’ curiosity. I feed students with fun facts about the subject. I draw on my experience and understanding with multiple languages, linguistics and Indo-European studies, helping students think critically while enjoying and appreciating how languages work.
