About Simren
Being a student myself, means that I can empathise with students. I am studying to become a primary school teacher and achieve my QTS, so that I can inspire and nurture the minds of generations to come. My teaching ethos, is to provide fun, creative and effective lessons through tailored activities. I value building relationships highly, as often, this is the key to success in learning.
The lessons will begin with a warm up and end in a plenary. Depending on age, the content can vary from phonics learning to essay writing (this can be tailored).
I will work together with the student and parent to create a learning plan in an initial consultation (free).
Following this, I will establish a goal or outcome for the lessons and create lesson plans that will be most effective for the student.
I have managed a tuition centre for over three years and have supported and nurtured the learning of over 600 children in this time. I can support students with creative writing, phonics (including practice phonics screeners) and exams (ranging from SATs, 11+ and GCSEs).
I am currently training to become a primary school teacher at The University of Worcester, my aim is to inspire brave and confident learners. As I am currently studying, my expertise and experience are very relevant and up to date - this means that I am aware of new and exciting avenues to support students.
I also have a Bachelor's degree from The University of York in English Language and Linguistics and thus have the background to effectively teach English. I have a qualification in teaching English as a second language and can therefore support ESL/EAL students.
Further qualifications include a Level 3 certificate in Speech and Language Therapy - I am therefore, able to support with oracy needs.

Simren is an excellent teacher, she has really helped my son with his English. I was very pleased with his progress, school teachers have seen a significant improvement in my son’s work and his confidence in English.

Sim is passionate about what she does, so patient and such a hard worker! She also loves to think outside the box and is such a calming person to be around.
Simren is outgoing, bubbly, and fun, but even more so that that, she is an excellent teacher! She knows how to motivate children to make them eager to learn.
She has lots of experience as a tutor, and is currently studying to be a teacher, and it shows!
