About Layana
I’m a native English speaker and current IB student based in Dubai. I also speak French and Arabic, which helps me support students from different backgrounds and explain things in a clear and simple way.
From my own experience learning languages, I’ve seen how much of a difference it makes when lessons are patient, clear, and adapted to the student. I use that understanding in my own teaching approach to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
My focus is helping students improve their English in a calm, encouraging way, whether that’s reading, writing, grammar, or building confidence in speaking. My goal is to make English feel less stressful and more natural for each student.

Hey, I’m Layana! I’m a native English speaker and an IB student in Dubai. I like helping students improve their English in a simple, relaxed way so it feels less stressful and more natural.
My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and adapted to each student’s needs. I know that everyone learns differently, so I take time to understand what a student finds difficult and explain it in a simple way. Whether it’s reading, writing, grammar, speaking, or homework help, I try to make lessons feel comfortable and encouraging rather than stressful.
As someone who is still in school myself, I understand how overwhelming classes and assignments can sometimes feel. I’m patient, easy to talk to, and I enjoy helping younger students improve step by step at their own pace.
Lessons usually last around 1 hour, and I mainly teach primary students, as well as beginners who want extra support with English. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students feel more comfortable using English in everyday life and at school.
