I am a fun, outgoing, and encouraging person. I will always do my best to keep them engaged and wanting to learn. In addition to those things I also have a different outlook on learning than most tutors and teachers have. I believe every child is different and what works for one may not work for all. My goal is to help students who may not be at their goal reading level, or goal writing level. For me a typical lesson plan would consist of first reading a passage and determining words that we are unsure of and then determining what those words mean, what their part of speech is, and more. After this we typically take a break and play a learning game such as spelling bees, word hunts, and more. Finally we will end off by using the words that we identified in the first part of the lesson and use them to write a story of student choice.
