About Ashton
I have been working in the field of youth development and education for 15+ years. Currently teaching high school and tutoring subjects reading and math grades k-12. With five years of experience coaching basketball and soccer I incorporate strategies to bring fun and movement to learning while becoming not just mentally engaged but physically and socially as well.

I enjoy being able to teach students based on how they retain and grasp information. Some students learn better through reading, or audiovisual practices. I believe that with a mixture of styles of teaching students can gain a better understanding for new material that is presented to them. I also believe that true learning has to be hands on in which the students gets the opportunity to make mistakes and learn from it in order to grow.
