About Fathi

Born in Somalia, I am the 6th of a family 13. Growing up, my parents installed in me the value of hard work, and diffidence it pays forward to building a better future for ourselves. Coming to the US at the age of 14, I learned to put that trait to use overcoming language barrier and even becoming an ESL student myself. Throughout, that journey, I had teachers to believe in me more than I did in myself and push me to reach for the sky. That led to me graduating from high in 3 years and enrolling in a 4 year Unicersity to pursue a degree in Biology with a premedical concentration. I was always met with discouragement whenever I shared my interest to go to medical school often being told that as a newcomer, Muslim, black woman, that dream was almost unattainable. Yet, here I’m, as write this and reflecting on my journey one year away from becoming the first in my family to graduate from medical school, and earn my medical degree. Therefore, all I can say is that as your tutor educational guidance, and my knowledge in your desired subject , I will also be the one to believe in you when you feel hopeless and no longer believe in yourself because we all go through that moment and need that person/s to push us in those moments.

About the lesson

I can provide a highly and effective proven tutoring for English and Biochemistry course along with science courses. I mostly enjoyed science and hence why I chose to pursue my medical degree. Using different learning techniques and styles to efficiently study have been a great asset to excelling in medical education. Therefore, I’m happy to utilize some of these techniques as your tutor to facilitate your learning.
