About Yume
I have tutored as a volunteer in the last few years for disadvantaged elementary school students who needed help with English reading, writing, and grammar. I also currently work as an advocate in a non-profit to raise awareness and educate others on important topics involving public health, rights to certain overlooked healthcare justice, and ways to stay healthy and safe on an individual level. I have gone through countless days and nights studying and learning as a university student, so I hope to be able to teach you through an effectively empathetic and realistic position.

I love making detailed, creative presentations and prepared lessons that are tailed to a student’s requests, needs, or interests! As I grew up going to public schools in NYC that required native fluency in English while being raised in a Japanese household, I understand firsthand the difficulty that comes with adjusting to a language or other organized systems that are integral to a community or personal goal. I now love reading, both creative and scientific writing, and sharing any knowledge that I have that may help others in any way possible. I am also well-equipped to help you go through SAT test questions together, or to talk about the sciences, especially in the fields of psychology or neuroscience.
