About Kanan
Hii, I'm Kanan, an undergrad Liberal Arts student at the University of Sydney. I've always enjoyed academia, both studying and teaching and believe that an organised, time-bound and mapped approach makes learning simple. I studied Psychology extensively during the HSC and graduated with an outstanding academic record. At Sydney University, I maintain a Distinction to High Distinction WAM, and hold three notable scholarships (The VCIS, Dalyell's, and SISA). Seeing significant improvements in performance across all my formal peer mentoring and informal tutoring experiences makes teaching incredibly rewarding for me. I am naturally approachable and take pride in my ability to break down complex concepts into easily digestible ideas by linking them with real world examples and making learning engaging and memorable.

I believe in a student-centered approach that tailors each lesson to the individual needs and learning styles. I like constructing topic-maps and schedules for students to help them maintain a structured learning for the subject. Lessons are based on Concept Break-Downs, Real-World Applications & Continuous Feedback! Each lesson typically lasts between 30-45 minutes to keep the content focused and maintain attention. Lessons can be extended to an hour depending on student attention spans and topics requiring in-depth discussions. My lessons are tailored to year 11-12 IB psychology students and first-year university psychology students.
