About Josh
My name is Josh and I am a 21 year-old Politics student at Newcastle University. Whilst I did not continue my studies of History into university, I still read around the subject and have a passion for the topic. My predicted grades at the start of my A-Level year were dismal (to say the least!) but I was able to find some essay techniques, structures, and revision tips that helped me so much and allowed me to achieve an A grade in the summer!
Outside of education, I am also obsessed with all things sport - especially football - and I am a big Newcastle United fan!

My lessons are targeted towards Pearson Edexcel A-Level or GCSE level students who are taking History.
A lesson will typically last an hour.
My teaching techniques would certainly focus on my A-Level experience and some of the tips and tricks that I utilised most.
For example, a big thing I found helpful for my essay subjects was simplifying and breaking down essay structures and revision strategies. This was crucial for me when looking to memorise huge chunks of information and achieve a good grade in my exams.
My experience as a tutor is minimal but I believe that my recent, past experiences can provide younger students with something helpful and beneficial going into their exams!
