About George

I love sharing knowledge on the subjects I am most passionate about, which are history and art history. I want to help students better themselves and I feel by teaching others I will be benefiting myself. I work best with others and as a tutor I can collaborate with my students helping us both.

About the lesson

I am currently studying History of Art at the University of Edinburgh, where I also take history courses alongside my main degree. My academic background reflects my passion for both subjects: I achieved an A* at A-Level in History of Art and a B in History. I have a strong understanding of visual culture, historical analysis, and essay writing, and I enjoy helping students develop the skills needed to approach these subjects with confidence. Whether it’s building a foundation in key historical events, analyzing artworks, or refining essay technique, I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs and goals. What I Offer History of Art: exam preparation, essay support, analysis of artists, movements, and cultural contexts History: covering core A-Level/GCSE topics, essay writing, and critical thinking Guidance on structuring arguments and improving written clarity Support for coursework, revision strategies, and exam technique My teaching style is patient and engaging, designed to make complex ideas clear and accessible. I aim not only to improve grades but also to inspire genuine interest and curiosity in the subjects.
