Currently working on my Masters of Divinity at Phoenix Seminary. I am a Chaplain for Baseball Chapel (an organization that provides Christian chaplains to professional baseball teams).

About David
I have spent hours studying the Bible, for my studies at Phoenix Seminary, for preparing sermons for the baseball players, and for the Bible studies that I have led at my church and out of church. God has been gracious to me in allowing me the time to be able to study His word. And for sustaining me during those hours of studying. I could’ve taught math or even Spanish, but I believe that I am better equipped for Bible studies. Although it is a great responsibility to handle God’s word, I find myself more comfortable teaching the word of God more than anything else. For God has made Himself known, and He indeed is knowable. We will not know Him fully, but we can know Him truly. That’s why I dedicated my life to studying Scripture, because we can know Him truly in the topics that He has plainly revealed Himself to us. I am confident in God’s word, and I rely on God’s word to lead the Bible studies!

Theology really matters, and for that reason, the Word of God should shape our Theology. God in His goodness has chosen to reveal Himself; it is through the Scripture that we can come to know Him. Knowing Him, according to how He described Himself to be, is eternal life. It is the most important subject in the whole world; Knowing God. Now, the center theme of the entire Scripture, is the redemptive work of Jesus Christ. If you view the gospel wrongly, you will view everything else in life wrongly. In light of that, our studies will focus around understanding the gospel story better. We will go slowly through a study course. Not really trying to rush past the chapters. Instead, focusing on each topic, within each chapter, more in detail. Allowing the student to dialogue with each topic, And help the student reason with the passages we deal with. This will help the student to get a better understanding of how to read the Bible for themselves. Although the complete study course is about 27 weeks long, it will be my duty that in each lesson the student sees and understands the gospel better. Not just at the end of the whole course, but at the end of every class, the student will have a more in-depth understanding of how the redemptive work of Christ relates to us today.
