About Aparna
Professional Cybersecurity & Networking Tutor – Learn by Doing! Hello! I’m Aparna, a passionate cybersecurity professional and experienced university lecturer with hands-on expertise in Network Security, SOC operations, Ethical Hacking, and Cybersecurity Labs. I’ve spent the last few years teaching and mentoring students at Middlesex University London, helping undergraduates understand complex cybersecurity concepts and gain practical skills that employers value. I specialize in turning complicated theory into simple, actionable knowledge. My teaching approach is practical, interactive, and tailored to your learning style, ensuring you not only understand the concepts but also gain real-world experience through hands-on labs and exercises. Whether it’s Wireshark traffic analysis, Linux security, Cisco networking, or SOC Level 1 investigations, my classes give you the confidence and skills to succeed. I have also worked on vulnerability assessments, wireless network security, and firewall configurations, so you’ll learn techniques used in the industry today. My students often praise me for being patient, approachable, and for making learning engaging and enjoyable. Who my classes are for: School students starting with computer networks or cybersecurity basics College and university students preparing for exams or practical labs Working professionals seeking cybersecurity skills or career advancement Beginners wanting hands-on, step-by-step guidance I am committed to helping each student reach their goals, at their own pace, with a friendly, professional, and supportive learning environment. Let’s get started and turn your curiosity into real skills!

I follow a hands-on, practical, and student-centred teaching approach, focused on making complex cybersecurity and networking concepts easy to understand. My methods include:
Real-world examples to connect theory with industry scenarios
Live demonstrations using tools like Wireshark, Nmap, Kali Linux, Packet Tracer, and SOC platforms
Step-by-step explanations for every command, lab, or concept
Interactive problem-solving to build confidence
Visual learning through diagrams, flowcharts, and packet walkthroughs
Guided labs and exercises so students learn by doing, not just listening
I also tailor my teaching style depending on the student’s learning speed and background.
