About Sam

I am a cybersecurity professional with over 5 years of experience in network security, cloud security and infrastructure protection. I am a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor and an official Cisco Networking Academy instructor, and I hold the CCNA and CCNP certifications, so I can explain not only how attacks work but also how the network behind them really works.

I help students and IT professionals in Europe and the USA build real cybersecurity skills, from security analyst work to penetration testing and prepare for certifications such as CompTIA Security+ and PenTest+. I have trained students and professionals in cybersecurity, penetration testing and Linux hardening, collaborated with academic institutions including the University of Poitiers, and founded Caplogy Academy, where I guide aspiring cybersecurity professionals.

My teaching style is practical and structured: clear explanations, hands-on labs, exam-style practice questions and a personalised study plan. Lessons are available in English or French.

About the lesson

Whether you are new to cybersecurity or preparing for the Security+ or PenTest+ exam, every lesson is built around your goal and your level.

- Cybersecurity fundamentals: threats, attacks, malware, social engineering and security best practices
- Network security: firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS and secure network design
- Security operations: threat intelligence, monitoring, vulnerability assessment and incident response
- Security analyst skills (SOC): log analysis, alert triage, threat detection and incident handling
- Penetration testing and ethical hacking: reconnaissance, scanning, exploitation, privilege escalation and professional reporting, including PenTest+ preparation
- Risk management and compliance
- Networking essentials when you need them (OSI model, TCP/IP, subnetting, routing) so you understand exactly what you are protecting

How a lesson works:
1. A clear explanation of the concept
2. A hands-on lab with industry-standard tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, pfSense, Cisco Packet Tracer and Kali Linux
3. Exam-style practice questions with detailed corrections
