About Maxine
I currently serve as a dance teaching artist at Alonzo King LINES Ballet and RoCo Dance & Studios. I hold B.F.A. in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and an M.A. in Dance Philosophy from University of Roehampton, where I trained in ballet, contemporary dance, improvisation, and choreography.

I teach contemporary forms, ballet, improvisation, and choreography to youth K-12 and adults interested in exploring how movement connects with language, nature, sensation, and our daily lives. Students will have the opportunity to learn choreography and invest in creative practice.

Deadly! Maxine is an excellent teacher and choreographer. She's friendly, patient, knowledgeable, encouraging and a genuine joy to spend an hour with while learning to dance. She has exceeded all my expectations, and I look forward to my lessons more than any other time during the week. She's the real deal!

Maxine is an amazing dancer, and a dedicated and passionate teacher. I am new to dance, and learning from her at first seemed a little like asking Usain Bolt to teach a toddler how to run. But she met me where I was at. And I’ve grown leaps and bounds. I think anyone would count themselves lucky to have her as a teacher. I certainly do.
