About Barbara

I hold two professional teaching certifications: a French national certification in Jazz dance, and a Graham technique teaching diploma from the Martha Graham School in New York City.

I have been dancing professionally for several years, performing and training across both France and the United States. This dual background gives me a unique perspective, blending European dance training with the New York dance scene.

I am patient, professional, gentle, and deeply committed to each student's progress. Whether you are stepping into a studio for the first time or looking to take your technique to the next level, I will make sure you feel supported, challenged, and inspired every step of the way.

About the lesson

My approach is rooted in structure, progression, and artistry.

Every lesson follows a clear arc:
• We always start with a warm-up to prepare the body and mind
• Then we move into technical work, either a general foundation or a focused element depending on the goal of the lesson
• We finish with a choreographic sequence to put everything we've worked on into practice in a more artistic, expressive context

I adapt entirely to the student's level and objectives. Whether you're a complete beginner discovering movement for the first time, or a more experienced dancer looking to refine your technique, I'll meet you where you are.

What I'm truly passionate about is helping students unlock technical challenges, those moments where something finally clicks. Thanks to my experience as a professional dancer and my certifications in Jazz and Graham technique, I love guiding students toward greater freedom in their dancing. Because when the technique is there, the body stops being a barrier and becomes a tool for expression!

Above all, I believe dance should be practiced in a safe and healthy environment, for the body and the mind. I prioritize injury prevention in everything we do. And mentally, my studio is a no-judgment zone. Progress is not linear, and that's okay. We try, we fall, we try again — and most importantly, we have fun.
