About Bertie
I have obtained work experience in four different schools, teaching a variety of children between years 1–12 (though I am happy to teach any age). Those who I have advised for exams have assured me that their overall English grades have greatly improved; those I have taught for leisure have praised my work for its entertainment value. I have a diverse theatrical background, with experience in directing, acting and tech. I am currently partaking in a creative writing module taught by novelist, Jon McGregor

Every lesson will be geared towards each individual student. Often I will use PowerPoint presentations to create a multi-media approach to lessons. Lessons will start by trying to gauge the areas a pupil struggles with most, and then finding the least strenuous way to overcome such issues. In my opinion, the education system can be overbearing on most pupils, and so I aim to create a much more leisurely feel to lessons – this way, my pupils will not be simply having more of the same type of teaching. I am happy to teach any age group that would find my teaching useful.
