About Harold

I am Deaf all my life, I love to teach, tutor, & help people to learn ASL. I have been teaching a lot of people from kids, high school, college to adult. I help some people to reach their goal of becoming an interpreter, pass their grades in high school or college, & becoming better signers.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is online via Google Meet. I use the Signing Naturally book in my slides to teach. I can have a conversation with students to practice their signing or tutor them to improve their signing skills for their class.

Deadly! Harold is a fantastic teacher of American Sign Language and I am so very lucky to have found him! I have been taking weekly lessons with him for 6 months now to preserve my ASL knowledge in between instructional classes. He has been instrumental in helping me maintain focus.

Deadly! I have learned so much with Harold. He is a very cool instructor and he won't let you give up!! I appreciate his patience as well as his sense of humor. I also appreciate that he is very conversational which helps me to practice using sign language more. It helps me to see my own growth and progression as a student. I am grateful to Harold for helping me embrace my deafness as a late deafened adult learning a new language for myself. He has helped me to be able to communicate with others who are just like me! =)

Deadly! Harold is super cool and funny. He's more relaxed and conversational as opposed to a typical school teacher who has an agenda for the hour. I love that I can just ask questions and get real, in-time answers. I think he's a great teacher if you're a driven learner. Would recommend.

He has well planned instruction with many opportunities to practice new concepts, and he always prioritizes and makes space for exploring any questions.
