About MouseHouse

I have been dancing for 3 decades and I wanted to share my experience and the lessons I have gained from my teachers and how I develop my own style of Breakin, and that’s why I want to spread my way of teaching so we can start enjoying the art of creating movement that suits your body, with no guilty thoughts of taking someone else’s creation

About the lesson

My lesson consists of basic fundamental steps to create and build an individual strong style that will stand out from the rest. As we delve into knowing yourself and the way your body moves, you will see the results of your hard work.

Month 1 – FOUNDATIONS
Focus: Comfort with movement, rhythm, and control.
Toprock: Indian Step, Side Step, Bronx Step
Footwork: 5-step, CCs Freeze: Baby Freeze, Knee Drop
Drill: Basic flow (Toprock → Footwork → Freeze)
Bonus: Intro to groove & bounce

Month 2 – TRANSITIONS & CONFIDENCE
Focus: Linking moves smoothly and building a round.
Toprock: Salsa Step, Shuffle Step Variations
Footwork: Kick-outs, Russian Taps Freeze: Chair Freeze, Simple Transition into Freeze
Drill: Toprock → Footwork → Freeze → Back Up Clean
Challenge: Create your own 20-second round Bonus: Record yourself for the first time

Month 3 – CREATIVITY & STYLE
Focus: Discovering your style & playing with musicality.
Toprock: Direction Changes, Tempo Play
Footwork: Drops, Shuffles, Thread-Inspired Footwork
Freeze: Side Freeze, Basic Bridge
Drill: Add “surprise” elements to your round
Challenge: Freestyle to a song that changes tempo Bonus: Watch and break down a battle (Jam Reaction)

Month 4 – BEGINNER BATTLE READY
Focus: Confidence, character, and stage presence.
Toprock: Freestyle Routines, Battle Entrances
Footwork: Reverse Flow, Style Mixing
Freeze: Choose Your Signature Freeze
Drill: Cypher Prep – How to Enter, Flow, Exit
Challenge: Record a full 1-minute round Bonus: Submit your round to Mouse House for feedback!

MouseHouse is an incredibly trustworthy tutor, and I say that with full confidence after working with him for many years. From completing his 6-week resilience course to representing the same crew—Floor Gangz—we’ve built a deep, meaningful bond rooted in trust, respect, and shared passion. His coaching goes beyond just breaking; it’s helped shape and elevate my mindset, confidence, and overall approach to both dance and life. MouseHouse brings a rare combination of lived experience, genuine care, and transformative energy that makes his guidance not only effective but unforgettable.
