About Paul
I have worked as a history teacher in schools and universities for ten years. I am well published and have all qualifications, including a PhD. I love working with pupils who want to develop and it is my love of teaching that drives me on. I believe in collaborative learning to get the best out of students - understanding how they want to develop and how they best learn and building on that. I can work with young students who are just getting to grips with the subject right up to advanced learners, studying at graduate and undergraduate level.
I base my approach on the student, understanding what they want to learn and how they want to develop and take it from there. I have in depth knowledge of all the main historical periods, particularly around European history, but I am also familiar with ancient Chinese history and with other the history of Latin America. I am also fascinated by the theory of history - about what history teaches us and about the general patterns of human development.
