About Miss Dorcas

As a dedicated tutor with over five years of experience, I am committed to helping students achieve their academic goals with confidence. I specialize in English, Mathematics, and Science for Primary Checkpoint, IGCSE, and GCSE students, providing personalized lessons that match each learner's pace and learning style.

My teaching focuses on building a strong understanding of concepts rather than memorization. I create a supportive, engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing in confidence. Every lesson is well-structured, interactive, and designed to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

I take pride in being patient, reliable, and professional. I regularly monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt my teaching methods to ensure continuous improvement. Whether you are preparing for examinations, catching up on difficult topics, or aiming for higher grades, I am committed to helping you succeed.

About the lesson

I believe every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning approach. My lessons are student-centered, interactive, and tailored to each learner's strengths, goals, and pace. I simplify complex concepts using real-life examples, visual aids, guided practice, and regular feedback to build confidence and improve understanding.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although shorter or longer sessions can be arranged to suit individual needs. Each lesson includes a review of previous topics, clear explanations of new concepts, practice exercises, and time for questions to reinforce learning.

I have over five years of tutoring experience teaching English, Mathematics, and Science. During this time, I have successfully supported students preparing for Primary Checkpoint, IGCSE, and GCSE examinations, helping them strengthen subject knowledge, improve problem-solving skills, and achieve better academic results.
My lessons are suitable for primary and secstudents, particularly those studying the Primary Checkpoint, IGCSE, and GCSE curricula. Whether a student needs help mastering difficult topics, preparing for exams, or building confidence, I provide a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages steady progress and academic success.
