Experience engaging lessons tailored to each student in grades 4-8. My approach blends interactive teaching methods with personalized attention. I focus on building strong foundation skills and nurturing a love for reading, setting students up for lifelong success. As a tutor my goal is to provide a personalized approach, deep understanding of student needs, and ability to foster a supportive learning environment where every student can thrive and reach their full potential.
In a reading and literacy lesson, we start with a warm welcome and a brief recap of our previous session, followed by an engaging interactive activity to spark interest and activate prior knowledge. During the main part of the lesson, through discussion and guided practice, we explore a specific skill or concept, such as character analysis. Students are then given the opportunity to work independently to apply what they've learned. We conclude by summarizing key points, previewing future lessons, and encouraging students to continue practicing their skills outside of class. Finally, we reflect on our learning journey and set goals for future growth, ensuring a well-rounded approach to literacy development.
