About Malaya
Hello! My name is Malaya, and I am a Virginia Tech Honors College student specializing in online and face-to-face K-12 English, reading, driving, grammar, and writing tutoring.
What sets me apart is my extensive experience working with children who have ADHD, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD), and IEPs. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I bring patience and tailored, engaging techniques to every session, helping neurodivergent learners and core academic students turn frustrating study blocks into rewarding breakthroughs. Whether your child needs to build foundational reading habits or master complex writing skills, I provide a safe, encouraging environment where they can truly thrive!

My lessons are primarily designed for K-12 students who are navigating core academic subjects, reading, grammar, or test prep. I am highly experienced in both face-to-face and online environments, making me an excellent fit for virtual learning. Whether your child needs to catch up on foundational skills, manage specialized school accommodations like an IEP, or simply build better organizational habits to get ahead of their coursework, I provide a safe and supportive space for them to thrive.
