About Doris
Hello! I’m Dee, and I bring a world of experience to our conversations, literally. As a first-generation immigrant who grew up in Toronto, I’ve navigated the beautiful, sometimes messy process of blending cultures and mastering a new language firsthand.
Beyond my life in Ontario as a registered nurse and digital entrepreneur, I am an avid solo traveler. Having traveled by myself around the world, I know exactly what it feels like to land in a new place where you don't know the local slang or the "unwritten rules" of conversation.
I understand the courage it takes to speak up when you’re still learning, and I’ve been in your shoes more times than I can count!
In our sessions, you’re not just getting a tutor; you’re getting someone who understands the vulnerability of learning. We can chat about anything from the fast-paced world of healthcare to food culture from different countries—one of my favorite topics! Whether we're discussing the secrets of a perfect home-cooked meal or the unique flavors I've discovered on my travels, I’m here to help you find your voice. My goal is to turn that "traveler’s hesitation" into the confidence of a local.
