About Justine
Hi there,
I'm Justine Botha, most students call me Mrs. B. I normally wear my bee earrings and I have a bee water bottle too!
I thrive on seeing how my learners progress inside the classroom.
When I'm not teaching I enjoy taking our dogs for a walk, watching soap operas, shopping and spending time with my family.
My favourite food is chocolate and I enjoy riding my spinning bike!
I don't work hard at being kind or patient because these attributes comes naturally to me. I look forward to getting to know my students and building a steadfast relationship with each person - this helps me to connect inside the classroom. My classroom is a safe space where students find support and space where they are happy and thrive in their learning.

Teaching time is 15 minutes max. Usually we start off with a catchy video or story which I read (for around 2 minutes). I use word sheets or word cards, we draw or write on whiteboards. First we draw a cloud where out tick marks go. It's important to celebrate our work and show success and progress.
I am currently tutoring a home schooled student. For the past 6 months, we've been focusing on English reading. When the opportunity arises I also teach inside the classroom when the schools need relief teachers. New Entrants are my favourite age to teach. My kind and patient nature gels well with the little people of the world.
