About Anna
I am currently working as an outpatient dietitian and teacher. I have taught three semesters of classes at Virginia Tech and am a teacher for the Lifelong Learning Institute (co-teaching a class titled, "how to live to 100"). I previously taught public health workshops to college students on the topics of developing a healthier relationship with devices like smartphones, better sleep, and basic nutrition.
My previous job as a historical interpreter for a museum gave me experience with teaching small groups of every age (families, couples, students, and school groups) about early American history.
With such variable experiences, I value a holistic approach to teaching, learning, and growing, and will work to find creative solutions in the world of individualized wellness and nutrition for you.

In my class(es) you will learn the basics of nutrition, as well as how to apply those concepts to everyday life. Each student will develop a solution to an individual, community, or societal based problem in the field of nutrition.
I take a discussion based approach in teaching and value interactive and motivational additions to the learning experience.

Anna has been my roommate and one of my closest friends for over two years now. She's a very hard worker and very passionate about her fields of nutrition and health. She's taught reading seminars at Virginia Tech and I would highly recommend her as a tutor.
