About Nishita
I have spent several years tutoring different levels and ages. Working with young children at Kumon, teaching refugee students English and math, and helping IB and AP students ace their tests are a few of the areas in which I specialize. I facilitate communication through superprof and email; I update parents based on the age of the student and give effective feedback to both the student and parent.

I truly emphasize a comfortable learning environment where I can form a near friendship with the tutee, to foster efficient learning. My lessons usually begin with a warm-up to preview and get the student's mind thinking about the topic at hand. I then facilitate guided learning practices. This is then followed by reflective discussions and independent work where I am present as a resource. My expertise is for high school students taking IB and AP classes. I also teach SAT Prep, and help with resume building and college applications.
