Sharmila is the french tutor for my son since the past 1 year when he was in the 8th grade. My son is enrolled in the IGCSE curriculum at an international school and the level of French fluency the curriculum requires is very high. My kid starting falling behind in class by early 8th grade until he started taking tuitions with Sharmila.
She is a very good teacher; not only are her knowledge of the language and her speaking skills very superior but she also manages to motivate the children to do well. Sharmila is extremely dedicated towards ensuring the child becomes proficient at the subject as well as does well at assessments. My child has been doing very well at French since he started taking french tuitions with Sharmila. I would highly recommend her as a french tutor.

I don't have adequate words of recommendation for Sharmila. It takes more than just a smart teacher who knows their stuff to impress a child. Sharmila engages with a child not just as a great educator and linguist but also with an approach that is fun for the child. A student needs to feel connected with their teacher and that's exactly what she manages. If a child loves a teacher that is half the battle won. After that, it's engagement all the way. She knows how to keep a child's interest, how to shift from fun to a serious teaching tone without ever dropping the student's interest. Sharmila has taught me french for 7 years. I started learning from her in 5th grade, when I did not know how to read, speak or write in french. Her strong knowledge of the language and her enthusiastic teaching methods have helped me get get an A* (96%) in my IGCSE.

Sharmila is easily approachable and very friendly which allows me to enjoy learning the language. I also continued learning through her for my A-levels which involved complicated grammar, tenses and vocabulary. Having completed her higher level courses at Alliance Francaise in Bangalore she is able to help me with more the more challenging A-level course.

Prior to taking classes with Sharmila, my basics were very weak and I did not know any French. Sharmila helped me score the highest mark in my 10th grade IGCSE board exams and is also helping me do the same for my IB French B course. I have been taking classes with her for the last 5 years and I have learned so much all thanks to her!
