About Kaelyn

I have over 5 years of experience teaching French and hold a Master of Arts in French Language and Literature with a Francophone focus. I specialise in working with complete beginners who want to learn French for fun and creativity. My lessons are relaxed, friendly, and full of humour. I love teaching through hobbies like knitting, painting, or gardening because it makes learning authentic. We use project-based lessons that turn everyday interests into opportunities to practise vocabulary and grammar. I incorporate visual aids, objects, and short dialogues to make everything clear. My students love how approachable and lighthearted our sessions feel. We laugh, make mistakes, and learn without pressure. The best part is watching them share their hobbies confidently in French. I believe learning should always feel connected to your life. My goal is to make French feel as enjoyable as your favourite creative activity. Together, we’ll find the joy in learning, one hobby at a time.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy focuses on putting French into action, especially for health and wellness situations. I help students learn how to describe symptoms, visit doctors, and communicate at a pharmacy. We also cover discussing nutrition, exercise, and healthy habits in everyday French. Lessons are interactive, using real-life situations to practise speaking naturally. I’m experienced with Travellers and Academic or Linguist learners who want confidence in practical conversations. Role-play and scenario-based exercises help students gain fluency quickly. Vocabulary and grammar are taught in context, not isolation. My goal is for learners to communicate spontaneously without hesitation. I focus on clarity, comfort, and self-expression. Lessons are practical, fun, and relevant to daily life. You’ll build confidence in describing your needs and giving advice. I encourage questions, experimentation, and exploration. Together, we’ll make French a useful skill for your health and well-being.
