About Candice
Hello, I’m Candice!
Welcome! I am a passionate and dedicated History teacher with 10 years of teaching experience in South African high schools, working with learners from Grades 8 to 12.
I believe History is much more than simply memorising dates, names and events. It is about understanding the people, decisions, conflicts, movements and circumstances that shaped our world. My aim is to make History easier to understand, interesting to learn and relevant to each learner.
Over the years, I have developed a patient and supportive teaching approach that allows learners to ask questions, work at their own pace and build confidence in their abilities. I enjoy breaking down difficult topics and helping learners understand how historical events connect with one another.
I can assist learners with understanding historical content, source-based questions, essays, exam preparation, research tasks and improving overall History performance.
Whether you are struggling with History, preparing for an important examination, or simply want to improve your marks, I will do my best to support you and help you reach your academic goals.
My goal is not only to help you achieve better marks, but to help you think critically, understand History with confidence and develop a genuine appreciation for the subject.

Qualifications
I am a qualified teacher with a 4-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree and 10 years of teaching experience in South African high schools, teaching learners from Grades 8–12.
I also hold a 1-year qualification in Adult Education and am currently completing my Honours degree in Psychology of Education, which has further strengthened my understanding of learners, their individual needs and effective teaching approaches.
My combination of teaching qualifications, classroom experience and continued studies allows me to provide patient, supportive and learner-centred History lessons tailored to each learner’s needs.

Passionate History Teacher | Making the Past Come Alive!
History is more than just memorising dates — it is about understanding people, decisions, struggles and events that shaped the world we live in today.
As a passionate teacher, I teach History to the best of my ability and strive to make every lesson interesting, understandable and relevant. I have a strong knowledge of South African History, including Apartheid, colonialism, the struggle for democracy and the key people and events that shaped our country.
My goal is to help learners not only improve their marks, but to understand History, think critically, answer exam questions confidently and develop a genuine interest in the subject.
Whether you are struggling with a topic, preparing for an exam or simply want to improve your History results, I am here to help make History easier, clearer and more enjoyable!
