About Katherine

Hi!

My name is Katherine and I have been teaching, tutoring and mentoring for 3 years.

I have graduated from the University of Leicester with a High First-Class BSc in Applied Psychology. I have further received the highest grade for the Independent Dissertation Project across all cohorts within the School of Psychology (90%), so you can be sure there is no question that would be left unanswered in our lessons.

I strongly believe every student is capable of achieving the notoriously reserved grades within the 80-100 margin. To help you boost your dissertation, research and confidence we will be covering all types of data collection and processing, academic writing skills, argument synthesis and more. To get the most out of your lessons, the sessions will be structured in accordance with your needs - your challenges, learning style, questions and ideas. I look forward to working with you!

About the lesson

No two students approach a research project or essay the exact same way, which is why my lessons are entirely customised to your individual needs, academic level, and learning style. With 3 years of tutoring experience with both International and UK students, our lessons are suited for any individual pursuing a first class grade.

Our sessions will include:

Deepening Critical Thinking: Moving beyond mere description, I will teach you how to critically appraise evidence, challenge existing literature, and present the high-level analysis.

Rigorous Proofreading and Editing: We will break down your drafts line by line to polish grammar, elevate academic tone, and eliminate unnecessary fluff to hit strict word counts.

RUBRIC: We will discuss elements of the RUBRIC structure, ensuring your dissertation meets expectations of the highest boundary. Does your dissertation demonstrate evidence-based practice? What research gap is your research addressing?

Structural Realignment: I will help you map out your essays and dissertations so your arguments flow seamlessly, ensuring your chapters transition logically from one point to the next.
