About Lucy
I am a dedicated piano tutor with over 11 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, from school beginners to advanced college students and working professionals. My teaching philosophy is to create a supportive, positive, and engaging environment where students feel confident to learn, explore, and express themselves musically.
I have helped students perform in recitals, complete graded exams, and participate in competitions, achieving recognition and technical growth. Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and performance skills, and I encourage students to explore their creativity, develop a unique musical voice, and gain confidence in their abilities. My aim is to make every lesson productive, inspiring, and enjoyable.

I follow a teaching style based on compassion, understanding, and supportive guidance. I strive to make every lesson engaging, interactive, and suited to each student’s learning style. In piano lessons, I combine technical exercises with creative practice, helping students build skills while enjoying music.
I maintain clear communication, giving feedback that is simple, constructive, and encouraging. Supportiveness is key—I motivate students through challenges and celebrate their progress to build confidence.
This method extends to other subjects I teach, including music theory and composition. My goal is to create a nurturing environment that fosters both skill development and a lifelong love for learning.
