About Edmond
Hello There!
I am a law graduate currently completing a Juris Doctorate with the intention of joining the bar in the near future. I work in plaintiff litigation for personal injury claims but I also love to teach. I have experience in moot courts, legal skills, exam technique, advocacy & ADR, as well as (most importantly) knowledge of substantive law in criminal, torts, human rights, commercial, European, and international law.
I taught at university classes and gave lectures to several hundred students at a time. I also assisted in editing and proofreading PhD's, worked as a research assistant and conducted independent research.
Needless to say, I'm pretty good at what I do, but what I'm best at, is helping others get pretty good at what they do as well!

My approach to teaching is 2-fold: Firstly, break the problem down into useable information. Secondly, apply your knowledge in a system of problem-based learning.
Law is a vast subject and much of the information you are given is conceptual, its easy to get lost particularly when so much is normative to begin with. To begin, we need to break down the theory and black letter law into applicable tools. This process helps get your head around the concepts so that you can apply the legal framework to a concrete problem.
The next stage is to make sure you can solve legal problems. I will help you test your knowledge and see if you can apply the legal framework in real terms. This reinforces your confidence and allows you to get to a firm answer.
