About Melany
I am a Doctor in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Birmingham. I have been teaching UG students for five years in small seminar groups and lectures. I have also provided one-to-one tutoring for the preparation for exams and assignments. I can teach most subjects in Social Sciences, such as Sociology, Politics and Philosophy.
I have specialised in Political Theory (continental philosophy, non-western theories, critical theory and feminist theory) for those who are looking more advance lessons.

I believe teaching should be delivered in a personalised and horizontal matter. I want to help students to build individual skills to navigate complex subjects, focusing on preparing their assessments by using different tools, such as 'Padlet', essay questions, videos, etc.
I organise and plan my teaching according to the needs of each student, identifying if their learning strengths and weakness.
I can also provide clear guidance for advance writing, such as dissertations, book reviews, journal articles.
I have experience helping international students to adapt to the British Education system.
