About Max

I am 26 years old and starting doctoral training in clinical psychology this year. I have a strong academic record in Psychology: A* in A-Level Psychology; First Class Honours BSc and MSc in Sport and Clinical Psychology respectively. Having worked for many years to achieve the highest grades, I have learnt a lot about how to perform well in assessment, but importantly, how to manage mental wellbeing whilst doing so. I am passionate about passing on my knowledge and experience and supporting students to achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is built on a foundation of empathy, evidence-based strategies, and clear goals. Each lesson begins with a needs assessment to identify your strengths, gaps, and personal learning style. I then design structured sessions that blend core theory with targeted exam practice—using past papers, model answers, and confidence-building exercises. Through interactive discussions, real-world examples, and constructive feedback on essays or admissions drafts, I help you master key concepts and refine your writing. Alongside academic support, I integrate mental-wellbeing techniques—mindful breaks, stress-management tips, and positive reinforcement—to ensure you feel motivated, calm, and fully prepared for every assessment.
